Tanzanite
is one thousand times rarer than diamonds, and so much so that it is called
a 'Geographical Phenomenon'. Tanzanite is Triochroic meaning that it shows different
colours when viewed in different directions. However, this is only shown in
stones of high clarity. One axis is blue; another violet, and another red, all
of which add subtle depths to its colour. These colours appear when viewed in different environments and different lighting, and never fail to
mesmerise people.

The blue and purple hues of tanzanite are associated with generosity and friendship thus making it the perfect gift.
Tanzanite is also seen by many as the Gemstone of 'Life' given its strong
link to birth and prosperity in Massai Culture.
